SOOB collects email and contact details of people who sign up to our e-newsletter through our website (for instance, by entering your name and email and clicking on the OK! button on the left-hand column of this page) or through physically writing their addresses down on our sign-up forms at various SOOB events.
These email addresses are the basis for the SOOB mailing list, which subscribers receive on an irregular basis throughout the year. SOOB's e-newsletter list is an opt-in list. You have to subscribe to it to belong, and you can be removed at any time by emailing SOOB management with the subject headline "UNSUBSCRIBE."
Site visit data
As is the case for nearly all web sites, SOOB's web server host makes a record of your visit. But honestly, we rarely look at our server logs, except to see how many hits and page impressions we've had recently. For the record, our web host company logs the following information for statistical purposes:
- your server's address
- the name of the top-level domain from which you access the Internet (for example, .gov, .com, .au, .nz, etc)
- the date and time of the visit to the site
- the pages accessed and documents downloaded
- the previous Internet address from which you linked directly to the SOOB site.
A cookie is a piece of information that an Internet web site sends to your browser when you access information at that site.
We don't use them. This site is a HTML only site.
We promise not to share your email addresses or personal information with any other party. That would be, like, so illegal.
The main problem with spam is that is it so cheap. If it costs you basically nothing, then of course you're going to send 4 million spams about V|-i$g//Ra. We can't stop the flow of spam, but we will try not to email you too often or frivously. Remember, you can always unsubscribe.
The use of the term "Personal Information" in this privacy statement means any information from which your identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained.
You got down this far??? Whoa! Good effort!
